10 of 20 participants showed their interest in forming a Business Angels club in Croatia

On the 6th of December 2018, the Early Stage Investing Launchpad (ESIL) initiative was launched in Zagreb, Croatia under the lead of the ESIL Angel for the country, Frane Sesnic. The event gathered up to 20 participants, the successful entrepreneurs and already active business angels in the country.

As part of the ESIL capacity building programme, Philippe Gluntz gave a lecture on what is the prerequisite to become a successful investor and business angel as well as what is needed to start and run a successful business angel network. The honorary president of Business Angels Europe and founder of France Angels gave also lot of advice in that regard from his personal experience. It appears that there is a critical mass of at least 8-10 people that would be very much interested in forming a BA club in Croatia and to form a network.

This was a successful launch of the initiative and the local leader will be working on the next steps with the aiming to improve the angel investment market in Croatia.
